THE SAME ....YET DIFFERENT

Seems most of my quickie posts lately have been wordless (sorta) :0)


These pictures struck me as funny ----- they're the same yet different :) lol
Back when Snap was a little baby (boo hoo why does time fly by??) he LOVED to be held by his daddy like this ALL THE TIME. When I saw the local article about the baby sloth.....I had to laugh!

p.s it's almond milk in that "baba" NOT 7up :)

It's Thankful Thursday again

Oh ........my baby boy had his very first Merry Go-Round ride a few weeks ago. At first he was NOT sure about it. Then as the music came on he started to relax. When the horse started to move up and down he looked over at me with a bit of worry in his little face. I gave him my biggest smile and patted his back -I said "Yay! You're on a merry go-round! It's okay!! I'm right here!"
















Finally when he was on it for a few seconds he looked over and gave me this smile - The wonder in his little eyes as he looked at the bright lights and the room going round in circles - filled my heart.....


I have to admit - our life has been very "MERRY GO ROUND-ISH" lately.


Seems like by the time I get to THURSDAY I am SO very ready for a weekend I think I may.

So...Thankful Thursday helps me to look at a few things I am thankful for (and it helps me focus on the blessings...not the craziness)

Thank you for all of you who have been keeping up the prayers about our challenges lately - I will say TODDLERS are SO MUCH EASIER than ADULT CHILDREN!! Whew!! SERIOUSLY!!!



I know when I start to worry - and the room starts to spin....I will listen for God....because I know He is saying "You're on a Merry go round! It's okay! I'm right here!"

May you each be blessed beyond measure this weekend (and always!)

Okay gang...it's been one of THOSE weeks ya know...
I am EXHAUSTED totally and completely and no rest in sight...
so I am going to post pictures of things I am thankful for - in no set order....because I am on the edge - and sometimes we have to totally change our focus in order to see EVERYTHING!

na na na na I can't hear you.....? Really?

Do you have someone in your life who asks for your advice but NEVER takes your advice? I DO!!!
I'm sorry but after awhile I just want to say "you're not going to LISTEN to what I say...why do I bother to talk to you?" "you seem to LOVE drama in your life...so you're only going to do stupid things that bring MORE drama!" "I don't want drama in my life - so please don't drag me into YOUR drama!"

I know.
I'm ranting.
I know.

The mother of my grandbabies....
She is ALWAYS in panic mode about the girls - "THE BABY IS CRYING" yes...she's a baby...you have to HOLD her sometimes.....NO you don't have to take her 2 hours away to a specialty hospital..........she's only 3 months old and you give her 8 oz bottles of anything and everything? Cranberry juice? Really? oh my....with oatmeal mixed in? hmmm sounds like I'd cry too...perhaps I will now.....
"THE OLDER ONE IS NOT LISTENING TO ME" yes...she's almost two years old...she's just seeing what she can get away with...NO it's not ADHD! You NEVER tell her no....EVER? Well yes..that may prove to be a problem!
You NEVER feed them anything but fast food? YES that may be a problem!
You ask my advice and then NEVER EVER actually listen?

no...don't mind me I'm just banging my head on my desk....carry on.
I look forward to the next call at 3am
and of course the weekends when I have the girls...and there's no issues. SERIOUSLY no issues...........what's that? can I just keep them all the time except the times that you want to take them out for fast food...drop them off at 11pm? "forget" to pick them up? OH you don't like that I'm not too keen on that idea so you leave them with your mother who was passed out cold the last time I went to pick them up from her...and I COULD NOT wake her up?

We keys kids LOVE to be barefoot - our idea of dress up shoes is fancy flip-flops....
This is by far the best reason to go barefoot EVER!

DIDJA KNOW!!?? One of the yummy things in my Florida Keys prize basket/bag/box :) will be the "fixins" for a Key Lime pie!....
First of all let me tell those of you who do NOT know...key limes are NOT green!
If you EVER get a slice of key lime pie and it's green....send it back! lol
We "keys kids" do not mess around with GREEN pie! &
Seriously people PLEASE do not deface your key lime pie with that green lime next to it :) this is JUST a stock photo....

The following is a little info on the history of Key Lime pie!! - enjoy!


Key lime pie was invented in the late 19th century in Key West, Florida. The creator of key lime pie is unknown. It was believed that William Curry, a ship salvager and Key West's first millionaire, had a cook named Aunt Sally. Aunt Sally created the pie. However, some believed that Sally changed the pie that local sponge fishermen already created.[4]

The first recipe for key lime pie was recorded in the 1930s. Key lime pie is made with canned sweetened condensed milk, since fresh milk was not a common commodity in the Florida Keys before modern refrigerated distribution methods. Fresh milk, ice, and refrigeration wasn't available. Cooks had to rely on condensed milk before the railroad and Overseas Highway were built in the 20th century.[5]

My wonderful 16 year old son...this picture is just perfect....I can just see him starting out...and me having to trust that he is safe....taking each of those "life" steps!!
